Virginia State University
UpTime Solutions Professional Services Group was tasked by Virginia State University to enhance the existing video surveillance capabilities for on campus security. Considering the fact that over 400 surveillance cameras from different manufactures exist this was a task that could have been overwhelming. With a limited budget and future resource cuts coming in the following years, UpTime Solutions PSG decided to deploy what may be considered one of the best video surveillance platforms on the market today.
UpTime Solutions has provided Virginia State University with a state of the art IP Video Surveillance platform. This open architecture non proprietary platform will support virtually any IP camera and/or encoder on the market allowing for the use of off the shelf hardware and facilitates the integration of new technologies. As the convergence of physical security and traditional IT applications continue to evolve, security professionals require a new set of tools to help facilitate seamless integration and implementation of legacy and new applications across the enterprise.
This truly innovative IP solution will provide unmatched functionality, scalability, and lower the total cost of ownership required to meet the 20/20 goals for campus security at VSU.
Land America Financial Group
UpTime Solutions Professional Group provided systems integration services for the design and installation of a Cisco IP Telephony phone system. The system was integrated into the date network as a Voice Over IP communication system and supported features such as mobility, unified messaging, softphone, attendant console and call center applications. The initial implementation was staged and deployed around a physical office relocation project and was and integral component in the relocation plan. The new IPT system was integrated with the existing Avaya PBX during the relocation project and eventually took over as the primary voice services platform. Additionally UpTime Solutions provided systems integration and support services for the expansion to approximately 20 remote locations over the course of 18-24 months.
Southern States Cooperative
Design and deploy 1200 user Cisco Unified Communication system at their headquarters and several remote sites as replacement for their existing Nortel PBX. One of the unique challenges of this deployment was installing multiple department call centers as well as a 1000 user Unified Messaging platform. UpTime Solutions continues to provide managed services for Southern States.
Naval Surface Warfare Center Federal Credit Union
Being a Federal Credit Union, NSWC is required to maintain a highly secure network infrastructure. UpTime Solutions deployed and maintians a Cisco IP Communications and Contact Center Solution. We configured the Contact Center Application to provide intelligent call routing and IVR functionality. We have also deployed a Cisco VPN Remote access solution Network Intrusion Detection system. NSWC FCU has an ongoing support contract to help maintain and support their networking and integration needs.
Virginia Housing Development Authority
While Eplus Technologies was the prime contracto, UpTime Solutions was selected as the sole-source sub-contractor to implement the following technologies. UpTime Solutions designed, built and deployed the Cisco network infrastructure, a Cisco Unified Communications system, Cisco wireless solution, and a Cisco Network Access Control solution over multiple sites.
Southern States Cooperative (SSC) - Southern States Cooperative is a agricultural supply cooperative owned by more than 300,000 farmers in the United States. Southern States Cooperative supplies farmers with feed, seed, fertilizer, farm supplies and fuel. There were over 1200 retail locations in 23 states throughout the Eastern half of the United States. Over the past 8 years, Uptime Solutions continues to provide support for Southern States network infrastructure, including their WAN and LAN, IT security, and unified communications.

Tredegar Films Corporation – Tredegar Films Corporation is a global manufacturer of film products and aluminum extrusions. They presently have 17 locations in 7 countries. For the last several years, Uptime Solutions provides computer systems facilities management and operation services for network operations of Tredegar’s global network. Uptime engineers work on daily tasks such as network monitoring, managing circuit outages, providing engineering expertise for incident and problem management. As of this writing, Uptime has deployed 90% of Tredegar’s global Cisco unified communications systems.
AMF Bowling - is a leading provider of bowling equipment and entertainment facilities in the US and around the world. Uptime Solutions provides AMF with general support for their IT infrastructure, WAN, LAN, wireless, and IT security needs. Uptime Solutions also has just completed an infrastructure refresh and and virtualization of their servers.

Liphart Steel – is a fabricator and erector of structural steel, miscellaneous iron and aluminum. Uptime Solutions is the only IT support for Liphart’s company. Since the end of 2006, Uptime Solutions has supported their entire IT infrastructure from desktops to servers, including all their Microsoft and other specialized applications.

Department of Defense - Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) – The Defense Commissary Agency is an agency of the Department of Defense that manages 284 grocery stores on U.S. military installations worldwide. Uptime Solutions has just been awarded 2 separate multi-million dollar contracts from DeCA for the installation of audio visual systems with their headquarters facility at Ft. Lee and most recently a contract to provide and deploy video teleconferencing equipment to the DeCA regional facilities worldwide.
