Are you looking for a company that
can maintain your UPS (uninterruptible power supply) and
battery system?
Are you tired of paying the high prices from the manufacturers’ service
organizations?
Would you prefer to work with a company that is locally owned and operated?
This is why Tru-Power opened it’s doors for business in 1981. Our goal
was to provide highly qualified UPS maintenance and service engineers located
in Virginia to provide responsive service for the UPS customer. Our engineers
are highly trained with many years of experience working on various manufacturers
of static and rotary UPS systems. In other words, our engineers did not recently
graduate from the local electronics VOTEC school.
UpTime Solutions/Tru-Power takes UPS/Battery service very seriously. Good maintenance
strategies result in reliable systems. UPS systems are purchased based on a desire
to maintain reliable operation of computer equipment. Many UPS service organizations
barely scrape the surface when it comes to performing maintenance. UpTime Solutions/
Tru-
Power provides rigorous preventive maintenance programs to insure UPS and
battery reliability. Simply stated, good preventive maintenance helps identify
potential problems and ultimately keeps your UPS on line….all
the time.
UpTime Solutions/ Tru-Power provides
the following service packages for Uninterruptible Power
Supplies:
Individual preventive
maintenance (PM): Our PM's include performing
the recommended service per the manufacturer along with IR
scans. Careful time is taken to verify proper operation of
all components. Our PM's also include the battery system whether
it is a sealed valve regulated battery or a wet cell battery.
PM Contract: Contract customers are prioritized over non-contract customers. Typically, we have arrangements where PM's are performed once to four times per year. Any additional services are billed on our published time and material rates.
Preventive
Maintenance & Emergency
Service (PMES): This includes the PM's as
outlined above coupled with emergency service labor. Any
trip required for unit failure or transfer to bypass is covered.
This contract also covers travel and any lodging necessary
to repair the system. Parts are billed separately.
Full Service Contracts: Full service contracts encompass the PMES contract services and also include parts coverage of the UPS. This contract does not cover replacement of batteries which are covered either by the manufacturers' pro-rated warranty or by our battery replacement contracts. Full service protection covers boards and other components that are likely to fail in the UPS. They do not cover end of life failures associated with aging UPS systems
Battery Replacement Contracts: Often,
companies have difficulty procuring replacement UPS batteries
as this is not a budgeted expense. UpTime Solutions/Tru-Power
provides battery replacement contracts which typically run
for five years and are often associated with a standard UPS
contract. This allows the customer to pay annually for the
replacement of the batteries. At the end of the contract
term, UpTime Solutions/ Tru-Power provides a "turn-Key" replacement
of the batteries. Failure of individual batteries during
the term of the contract is covered by the manufacturer's
pro-rated warranty. This is an excellent contract as it guarantees
replacement of valve regulated low maintenance batteries
every five years without having to go through the hassle
of budgeting and procurement.
UpTime Solutions can also provide UPS battery replacement for old battery systems. Our certified engineers will provide complete "turn-key" battery replacement to include proper disposal of the old battery. We also perform a PM on the new batteries to insure they are in good working condition. This includes load testing each new battery. Manufacturers of lead acid (VRLA) and wet cells available include Exide, Deka, Power, C&D, Johnson Controls plus others. Battery replacements and services are available for Liebert, MGE, Pillar, IPM, Best, Powerware, Mitsubishi, Chloride and others.
Inspections: The last service offering we offer has become popular for those companies who wish to have an independent party evaluate the maintenance of their system. It is often used as a means to become familiar with our service practices as well. If you currently are with another UPS service company, we can provide an independent audit of your critical power systems. This will help insure you are getting the service necessary to maintain reliable operations. This offering grew out of an alarming trend where previous service organizations were negligent and had not provided proper maintenance or discovered problems during previous PM's . Our inspection service provides the comfort and assurance that your UPS systems are getting the attention they deserve. We are also available should you have a UPS repair need, even if you are not a contract customer. |
